This workshop is geared towards kids ages 8-11 but could be beneficial to do with a parent. Using my award-winning book- What Makes Me...Me attending youth will discover their own unique super powers. What Makes Me...Me is the story of my journey with Tourette Syndrome and comorbid conditions, and how I have learned to embrace my uniqueness. The session will start with my mom and me reading the story and then we will discuss how I have learned to embrace my Tourette Syndrome allowing me to find my voice and advocate at schools. We will then make an affirmations poster that each attendee can bring home with them to hang on a mirror or in their lockers.
