Rob McGuire is a 56 year old stay at home dad with severe Tourette's Syndrome with tics that includes coprolalia and copropraxia.  He had DBS surgery in 2006, which significantly improved the quality of his life, although it did not cure his TS. Rob and Kathryn attended the University of Louisiana-Lafayette and met in Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship.  They graduated the same semester in 1998.  Rob graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Industrial Technology from the College of Engineering and Kathryn graduated with a BA in Elementary Education for Grades 1-8.  Rob and Kathryn married in 2005 and just celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary.  Kathryn has been a public school teacher since 2002.  In 2017, Kathryn earned her M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision from the University of Houston and in 2022, earned her Executive Ed.D. in K-12 Professional Leadership also from the University of Houston.  For many years, Rob and Kathryn have dreamed about sharing their love story to encourage others that having Tourette's cannot keep you from finding love.
