Amber is a TAA Youth Ambassador and the founder of A Thousand Words, a storytelling initiative amplifying the experiences of individuals with invisible disabilities. In her role with the Tourette Association, she advocates for federal policy reform, including bipartisan legislation and increased research funding, and has spoken at major events, including the Stanford Neurodiversity Network, to audiences of 300+. She leads support groups and mentors newly diagnosed students, helping them navigate self-advocacy, accommodations, and coping strategies. Through A Thousand Words, Amber documents and shares disability narratives nationwide, reaching more than 257,000 people and creating direct impact across schools and community spaces. Her work has been featured on Spectrum News and ABC7 and recognized by the Dragon Kim Foundation. Across all her initiatives, Amber centers empowerment, awareness, and representation for youth with Tourette syndrome and other invisible disabilities.
