Aaron Shafer is a music therapy Master's student who has lived with TS most of his life and has found music to be the most therapeutic activity in helping calm his mind and body from painful tics and co-morbidities. His experience as a performing musician has spanned from coast to coast in bands and musicals, playing guitar, saxophone, banjo, piano, and more. He is currently studying neurologic music therapy at Colorado State University and plans to pursue Tourette research in the future. Aaron is an active leader in the TAA community as the Northern Colorado support group facilitator, plus he is experienced as a peer mentor and education-in-service volunteer.
