Speaker Bio
Dr. Graff is a psychologist with extensive experience in supporting individuals with executive runction and self-regulatory issues. His research agenda is essentially dual tracked: One of his interests lies in the investigative study of executive function/self-regulation/metacognitive processes among learners with common developmental differences, as well as interventional methods to support these learners; another interest is the study of cognitive and motivational issues associated with TS (including their neuropsychological bases). HE received a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the City University of New York, with a concentration on learning and development. He is currently an assistant professor with Touro University's Graduate School of Education and was motivated to conduct the review that is the subject of this presentation for reasons beyond the professional, having grown up with TS symptoms (motor and vocal tics, coprolalia) during his childhood and teenage years that went undiagnosed.
