Speaker Bio
My name is Jocee Sevilla. I’m 26 years old. I have been diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome for 4.5 years but have lived with tics ever since I was 8 years old. I acquired my master's degree in social work from The University of West Florida and have been working in the clinical field for the last 5 years. I have experience working in youth and adult mental health, substance use, and trauma care. This past year, I’ve begun working in private practice where one of my specialties is working with individuals with tics/Tourette’s. In addition to my clinical work, I’m also a Rising Leader and Educator Volunteer for the TAA. I have gotten the opportunity to present and lead discussions to help schools and organizations better understand Tourette Syndrome and how they can support individuals with tics. Thank you for this opportunity and I hope you enjoy my presentation.
