Dr. Kenneth Phelps is a Professor of Clinical Neuropsychiatry and Adjunct Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the Division of Neurology at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He specializes in the evidence-based treatment of youth through young adults with obsessive-compulsive, anxiety, and tic disorders within Prisma Health. His scholarly interests include the coexistence of stress and enrichment among caregivers of children with neurodevelopmental disorders and the advancement of psychotherapy pedagogy. Administratively, he serves as Director of the Outpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic, Co-Director of the Tourette Center of South Carolina, and an educator across multiple psychiatry residency programs. Dr. Phelps serves on the Medical Advisory Board of the Tourette Association of America, is a supervisor within the TAA Behavioral Therapy Institute, and is a regular speaker for the TAA Rising Leaders program on resilience. He also serves on the OCD South Carolina Board, an affiliate of the International OCD Foundation.
