As a Movement Disorders Specialist and Assistant Professor of Neurology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Dr. Larson has a special interest in Tic Disorders. In 2022, she established the multidisciplinary Tic Disorders Clinic at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, of which she is now the Director. The clinic’s care includes Neurological expertise, Neuropsychiatry expertise from a trained Neuropsychiatrist, and Habit Reversal Training from a trained specialist. Additionally, the clinic offers social work support and other mental health support through the Northwestern network. The clinic shares a joint recognition as a TAA Center of Excellence with Lurie Children’s Hospital. With lectures throughout the academic year, Dr. Larson teaches Neurology and Psychiatry residents and Movement Disorders fellows the nuances of tic-specific care while emphasizing evidence-based care.
