Emily Olfson, MD Ph.D.
Speaker Bio
Dr. Olfson is a physician-scientist and Assistant Professor in the Child Study Center at Yale University who leads genomic studies of childhood-onset psychiatric conditions. She is affiliated with the Program in Translational Biomedicine, the Interdepartmental Neuroscience Program, Human Genome Sciences, and the Wu Tsai Institute at Yale. She received her MD-PhD in Human and Statistical Genetics from Washington University in St. Louis. She then completed residency and fellowship training in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry in the Yale Solnit Integrated Program and additional research training in psychiatric genetics. Current projects in her laboratory focus on translational neurogenomic investigations of chronic tic disorders, trichotillomania, excoriation disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, attentiondeficit/hyperactivity disorder, misophonia, and anxiety disorders. She works clinically with adults and children in the TS/OCD Program in the Yale Child Study Center. Dr. Olfson is 2024 TAA Young Investigator Award recipient and will present an interim analysis on this project
